Janice G. Pero, Ph.D.
President

Dr. Janice Pero is President of OmniGene Bioproducts. Previously, she was Vice President of Research and Development, Microbial Products and Processes at both BioTechnica International and OmniGene.

Dr. Pero has over 20 years of experience in research management and is an expert in gene regulation, focusing on the genetic engineering and molecular biology of Bacillus and Streptomyces species.

Dr. Pero was a founder of BioTechnica International and joined the company full-time in 1982. She has served on the Board of Directors of BioTechnica International, OmniGene, and OmniGene Bioproducts. Prior to joining BioTechnica, Dr. Pero was an Associate Professor of Biology at Harvard University. Dr. Pero received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University, and was a summa cum laude graduate of Oberlin College.
