OmniGene Bioproducts possesses core competencies and proprietary technologies
in the areas of industrial strain development.
OmniGene Bioproducts was formed in 1995 to focus on the company's strain
development platform. The new company brought the intellectual property
and strain libraries from OmniGene (formed in 1991) and BioTechnica International
(formed in 1981).
In 2008, certain assets of OmniGene Bioproducts were purchased by BioEnergy International, LLC, and OmniGene Bioproducts' outstanding staff joined BioEnergy International.
